Jack Tapper has a good roundup of the ... strangeness of Obamania. I noted it myself, with someone pushing the rope line and, when he got a touch - not even a handshake, he turned to his friends, jumping up and down like he had just been at the point at which time touches eternity.
It was way weird.
I'm inclined to let it ride, but students of history will find no comfort in observing it ...
