After the massive failure of the pre-war effort, including the WMD and the long list of what we can now see as plain lies, Bush-Cheney should not have been returned to office in 2004. Any corporate board would not have tolerated such a massive failure, without trying to restore credibility by wiping clean the slate and starting over.
