We're supposed to put the fate of the Union in the hands of Texans, again? Sorry, I'm just full-up with Texas. There is no way that Texas is blue in 2008. We've been "robbed" of Michigan and Florida as real testing grounds - these are states that might be described as 'indicative'.

Maine is indicative (for me, a tidal point). There is no way that the people of Maine are behind a Barack candidacy. It's not a bold state and there are parts of it that are downright racist, IMHO, still. They are swept up in the storm, though, for good or ill.

SUPER DELEGATES - FIREWALL AGAINST PARTY HIJACK

By the way, on the "for good or ill" part, isn't the super-delegate system designed to thwart a super popular candidate from dominating and sweeping the party into non-democratic positions? Of course, that would apply to both Hillary and Barack, in their own way, so ...
