McCain: "That's not Hope, that's a Platitude"

Barack Obama, looking more confident than ever and more in form than ever, sweeps into Madison with an impressive case to make. He notches up three more primaries, with little for the pundits to argue about - and little time for buyer's remorse ahead of March 4th.

McCain, however, sends the first shots over the bow, stating, "That's not hope, that's a platitude".

Is that going to backfire, now that the GOP is saying it and not "The Clintons"? We'll see how it goes.

It turns into a race to define who Barack really is - the GOP is still going to try to get ahold of him and wag him by the tail, because he is still unkown, largely. (Rove admitted this on FOX tonight, so it must be true ...).

Update, full quote: Said McCain: "To encourage a country with only rhetoric rather than sound and proven ideas that trust in the strength and courage of free people is not a promise of hope. It is a platitude."
