It seems like the songbird media have awakened to their vigilance role.
Chris Matthews played a bit of hardball at the tail-end of his coverage last night, so startling that Keith Oberman had to soft peddle the program exit/transition for the two of them.
Matthews repeatedly slammed some poor Texas State Senator (the nearly petrified legislature does only meet once a year in Texas or something*) for not knowing a single legislative accomplishment of Barack Obama, reminding him that he was "on national television".
After the interview and explaining himself, Matthews concluded, "It's a problem."
*from wikipedia: "The legislature meets in regular session on the second Tuesday in January of each odd-numbered year."
