8:10 EST; 50 Minutes to Obama Time

WHO PUT THE ROSEN ON THE BOW?

It might be too close to call, but my bet is that Wisconsin will go for Obama.

The flap over Obama's un-referenced swipe of a Deval speech shows the serious weaknesses and worst of both campaigns.
The flap over Obama's un-referenced swipe of a Deval Patrick speech shows the weaknesses and worst of both campaigns. Obama opens himself up to a devastating critique of all that he has carefully built up, his overwhelming authenticity. Clinton's campaign shows itself for a bunch of tools, truly willing to win at almost any cost. The Media - a bunch of fag-ends for having to get fed the story from the Clinton campaign, right?

It's just sad, all around. "Smoke and mirrors" becomes a slash, with a rough-edged blade, not an awkwardly thrown punch. My doubts about both candidates have been reinforced.

What's more, it has taken the weekend focus off of Bill Clinton's nasty-sounding slugfest with the life-as-we-say-it crowd. After hearing a bit of Bill's Amarillo talk, I was thinking that people were going to be ready to vote for him all over again, until the next bit surfaced. Now, the discussion of Bill has been drown out, mostly.

Updates: Oops, I see that some of the early exit polls make this post look a little like forecasting the past. Note to self: write silly predictive posts in the a.m.
