More Democratic Party "Magic"

ALMOST 20% OF THE RACE TO RUN IS STILL ... UNSPECIFIED

As the number of undeclared super-delegates shrinks each day at the tiresome and hurtful pace of about 3/day, one's attention turns to the margin.

There are 76 so-called "add-on" super-delegates (78.5 with FL and MI at 1/2 vote). According to The Politico, only 40 have been named so far (at least that's all that's on their list). That leaves 36 to-be-determined. (As I understand it, this usually happens when the State holds its convention, sometime after it holds its runoff for the nomination).

That 36 represents almost 20% of the remaining, undeclared 211 super-delegates, a percentage that will likely grow as the number of undeclared shrinks faster than add-ons are named in a process that drags out well into June...

CLINTON SETS UP GRIEVANCES SHE ALONE CANNOT FIX

Readers here will not be surprised that Hillary has continued her court-of-public opinion effort to muscle the DNC, setting up grievances with her supporters that she alone will not be able to redress (or alleviate) and prescribing solutions that she doesn't even have standing to make, arguably.

The Obama campaign and the DNC are apparently afraid of her and what she is doing. Look at this shockingly weak response (as caught by AS):

“We are open to comprise. We are willing to go more than half way. We’re willing to work to make sure that we can achieve a compromise. And I guess the question is: is Senator Clinton’s campaign willing to do the same?” - David Axelrod, to NPR's All Things Considered, to be broadcast tonight.

This is the tragedy of what some, like Senator Feinstein have done, by getting duped into seeing a "reasonableness" in letting a brinksman continue on until the point they 'make their play', so to speak.
