First Glance: Wartime "Supplemental" looks bigger than any GOP passed on its own

NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE IN WASHINGTON

The Senate approved "supplemental" funding today. It looks like the all-in total will soar over $200 billion, on top of the stimulus package that was voted earlier in the year.

Everyone likes "supplementals", because ... pay-go rules don't apply.

Coupled with the bizarre farm bill, you can see why nothing is going to change in Washington, and it has as much to do with reckless self-interest as with "special interests".

I predict that the tax-hike on the next generations from this year's fiscal funsy-time will be the biggest in post-war history...
