LADY PAC-MAN AT IT AGAIN
I should say "stuff it", but I'm in a Kathy Griffin mood.
AS covers Peggy Noonan sounding off. She thinks we "dodged a bullet".
I look at this and I think that even Noonan doesn't realize her sexism, maybe.
Hillary would have been fine as President. Yes, she is flawed, perhaps seriously in some respects. But c'mon. Look at the boys playing on the field. Tancredo? "Hucklebee"? Romney? After that alarming speech that he gave at C-PAC after withdrawing, did Noonan doodle with her boy-we-missed-a-bullet sharpie?
No.
And why?
Face it: we set a higher standard for Hillary, consciously or not.
Still resistant?
sample data: Why has no one but Kos made great fun out of McCain's Beevis laugh at his Tuesday night nose-dive speech?

Suck it!, Peggy Noonan
About four-in-ten Democratic voters (43%) say that Hillary Clinton is being held to a higher standard than other candidates because she is a woman. Far fewer Democrats (25%) believe Obama is being held to a higher standard because of his race. Republicans are less likely than Democrats to say that either Clinton or Obama is being held to higher standard because of their gender or race; however, twice as many Republicans see Clinton being held to a higher standard than say that about Obama.
