Anecdotal economic evidence:
I just had a big scare. Thompson's just arrived to fill the oil tank for the final fill. 60 gallons used since April 24th. I'm still paying the pre-buy price from last year. The price today: $4.4990, thats over three times my prebuy price last year...THREE times. I figured it out so at that rate, I will be paying 30 bucks a day to heat this house to 65 degrees in the middle of winter. I'll be paying $900 a month to heat this place! Thats what it used to cost us per year when we first moved here in 2001.
