MEMBERSHIP TRUE-UP - why undermine purported lobby strength?
Everyone knows that nonprofits overstate their membership figures, in one way or their other. Why does AS think the HRC is someone uniquely in need of attention on the matter, unless it is his way to pull down their lobby efforts by calling attention to figures that opponents will likely seize on? Watch these people tagging N.O.W. on the same topic. What does it help? Why does AS not sound well intoned when he simultaneously asks for the HRC to deflate its membership AND lobby in the way he sees fit on DADT? Bizarre that. Unless...

It's too late, you know. Had AS started with some thoughtful questions and done something with balance, he'd have had a chance.
What's more, they've offered AS more transparency than I get (or want, God knows). By his report, they offered him face-to-face "transparency". He turned them down. That suggests other motives. One still could have attended such a meeting and kept their list of questions intact.
As it is, the "inquiry" is hopelessly compromised. Sorry, but that's just how the cards fell.
USELESS PROTESTATIONS
As a blogger, I am publicly accountable for living up to such a pledge. -ASYou cannot be serious. A blogger code of ethics? Given the inconsistencies, including not publishing what they thought was germane, they are the idiots if they continue, that's for sure.
