I recently left off the Harris-Sullivan swingtime band, not necessarily on a downbeat. Previous comments I collected under the label "Wilderness Sam" (see left, just below the Archives).
Meanwhile, a commenter here read the recent and thought of Wittgenstein, which cannot be bad. In an apparent refutation of truth as subjectivity, he writes, quoting Ludwig:
Specifically, since logical language can only reflect the world, any discussion of the mystical, that which lies outside of the metaphysical subject's world, is meaningless.
In the ultimate epistemological cosmic wimp-out, Wittgenstein continues on with "meaningful" logical rigour to:
Wovon man nicht sprechen kann, darüber muß man schweigen. [What we cannot speak of we must pass over in silence.]
So, here is the question, is that an "extremist" view or a "moderate" view?
