Our Beloved Hillary

Hillary holds up the wrong finger to Democrats today in West Virginia.

Results are in: Hillary raised the "stay home" vote for the general election to 17% among democrats polled in West Virginia.

Way to go, and, thanks, Senator Feinstein for keeping it going because she feels she needs it!

On the flip-side, there is no denying (from exit polls) that Obama has real problems in small-town America, where name recognition counts for almost everything. The cost to his campaign in real dollars and time to overcome that is h-u-g-e. How his campaign intends to work on that for the general is a mystery (so far as I can tell - there might be a strategy that we just cannot discern yet).

Update: AS points out that the majority of the party is ... fooled (I'd say foolish, but then that would be impolitic).

Update2 9:36pm: Clinton lies to voters, tells them that their vote can matter in whether she will secure the nomination. No number of elected delegates will bring Clinton the nomination, and, after tonight she would need 92% of all remaining just to break even - in other words, Obama would have to die or be disqualified. Even then it's not clear. Edwards is getting 7% in WV tonight ... and he's not in the running.

Update3 9:38pm: Clinton sets-up grievances with her supporters that she alone cannot erase. Tells them exactly how the Democratic party should handle Michigan and Florida. The party cannot fulfill her wishes and remain credible at the rules level. Why have rules at all, if candidates can muscle the party at the 12th hour to have-it-their-way?
