It does appear so, in two bits on parents with gender non-conforming kids (technically, I'm not sure "transgender" is the right appellation at the age they are talking about - indeed, it's my faulty memory that some kids reduce gender non-conformance later on, even. So no, I wouldn't be big on pidgeon holes...).
