Small Government Conservative Watch: Yoo Takes The Fifth, Whitman not culpable

Muckracker, on a superb tear, reports.

NOT ABOVE THE LAW, BEYOND THE LAW

Yoo, who lawyered a bit too much for the President and not enough for The People, will proverbially "take the fifth" via the now well-worn path of having the Bush Administration tell him he cannot answer to his accusers or provide any evidence, directly or circumstantial, of the conspiracy to torture within the Bush Administration.

Once again, the peoples' work is outside the view of The People. There is always some justification for a bit of private wiggle-room, but this Administration has just taken 'secrecy' too far, along so many lines.

YOU GOT NOTHING ON ME

White collar crimes are hard to prove. Former EPA Chairman Whitman goes free.

A SPECIAL KIND OF GOVERNANCE

Meanwhile, under Bush, half of EPA scientists feel thwarted.

FBI ... corralled by crafty Cheney-DOJ strategy. Small hope/victory: it looks like FBI's Mueller did passive non-cooperation with the malodorous change in winds.
