ONE OF THE BIGGEST POLITICAL FLIP-FLOPS IN 50 YEARS?
It's just stunning to see various GOP hacks and luminaries walking around and talking as if there were not 50 years of two-steps-short of
completely whoring the environment in their political legacy.
Could be at least even-odds that we are "too late" on global warming (the effects are cumulative and self-reinforcing and there is no known way to reverse them).
They seem oblivious to the realization that there is a non-zero probability that the GOP's past political choices will have fried the planet, no matter what their pandering on the issue today ...
And it is pandering. When they controlled all levers of government, they did nothing. Now, at the advent of a Democratic Administration, they join hands to ask Americans for "sacrifice" and "putting difference aside". How cheap-suit is that?
