POPE HITS OBAMA THEME
It's hard to warm up to an organization that rejects my ... existence.
As a matter of political analysis, however, one has to give props to Benedict, who is hitting almost exactly the right tone in everything, so far. It's kinda eery. Still, make no mistake: no room for 'private faith', no room for 'confusion of learning' at Catholic Universities, etc.
Also, one can almost watch mass in St. Patrick's, without remembering it's diminutive shepard, John O'Connor. Has enough time passed to get that taste out of one's mouth altogether? No.
Anyway, Benedict hits Obama theme: "Go forward as Heralds of Hope in the city." Well, then.
