John McCain went for Ayers-baiting on the weekend.
Sooner or later someone is going to ask him about Vietnam and brining up Ayers is not going to help him.
His estimation that people are going to reward him for being steadfast on "the surge" is quite likely to prove wrong. Instead of strong, it really does start to look dismissive and stubborn, above public opinion nearly as much as Cheney and Nixon...
