Rightwing Blogosphere Silent on Drudge

You'd think that the right would be more Royal friendly than the hopeless secular progressive hoard, but the situational ethics of the Right-wing blogosphere are on display in their silence over Matt Drudge's appalling thrill ride this week.

From the NYT:

Then on Thursday, at 10:32 a.m. E.S.T., Mr. Drudge teased his Internet readers (21 million each day) with an all-capitalized alert: “Dramatic moment on war from UK.” About 30 minutes later, he changed the headline to “Prince Harry Fights On Frontlines In Afghanistan; 3 Month Tour,” and, with all the flair of a British tabloid, labeled the prince “Harry the Hero.”

He initially credited New Idea and Bild, and then almost immediately reneged and labeled the news a “world exclusive.”

His website was down when I tried, until it came up trumpeting himself, "Matt Drudge Most Powerful Journalist In The World", a replay of a Telegraph headline. No one has yet updated his Wikipedia entry with his latest display of ... wantonness.

In separate news, I used to like to read "Captain Ed" [Morissey], from time to time, who put up some thoughtful perspective.

He may as well have run into a malaria swamp, as I cannot follow there. Even the Townhall is more digestible, IMHO.
He's headed to membership-required HotAir (proud, even, to be working for Malkin).
