Fallon and The Gays and McCain

Remember how all the of the GOP candidates stood on stage in front of all the Nation to tell Americans that, "Now is not time to change things", implying that a the deployed forces were somehow too strapped-out to absorb getting rid of Don't-Ask-Don't-Tell?

Well, this week the President was willing to trash a seasoned Admiral, one who has spent time getting to know the region, meeting with Musharraf and others. How does that work, throwing away the Public's investments? The Pres gets to stir things up to satisfy his ego, basically, but everyone else has to quiver in fear that other changes might risk America some untold risk?

I'm annoyed about this Fallon thing, because I figured that General Boykin's comments ought to get a pass, because they probably weren't sooo severe that he needed to be cut loose.

Meanwhile, Johnny McCain is out this week reminding everyone to feel sorry enough to vote for him because he suffered greatly as a POW or something (that's harsh, but if we can analyze Hillary's ads to that level of subliminal impact, I don't feel that one would be walking on ice that the other side hasn't thickened ...).
