More in our unexpected theme covering "Democracy" in America:

Although Americans consistently rate health and financial security as their top domestic concerns, the first presidential debates have given little attention to them. - DividedWeFail.org

Tracking the number (and quality?) of the questions asked (follow link).

Interesting figures. Two questions on healthcare (13%) in recent S.C. debate:

According to our recent polling of our members, 88 percent of [SC] Republicans cited health care as an issue that would be important in their voting decision and 94 percent noted financial security would be an important factor when they go to the polls next week.

THE VALUE OF BRAND - WHOSE MESSAGE IS GETTING OUT THERE?

Obama is making strides, closing the "don't know" gap. Others are too. Voters are undecided and still seeking info on the candidates.

WHAT ABOUT IRAQ, IRAQ, AND IRAQ

"The Iraq" (if you get that reference) is declining in importance, in these surveys, although still topping the list.

Watch out. If voters see an exit coming ("Petreaus recommends small, steady withdrawals"), they may take it, rather than listen to candidates pass-out recriminations ... So much could give a boost to the GOP ...
