Questions the Press Isn't Asking

One of the talk-show guests / commentators suggested that there are no questions that the Press has not asked the candidates.

I have a few, off the top of my head.

A PARDON FOR BUSH-CHENEY?

"Senator Obama, you've said that the nation is tired of division. Does that imply that, if there was evidence that Bush-Cheney were involved in torture, that you'd pardon them, rather than 'be divisive'?"

For the Republican field:
"The American People overwhelming support employment non-discrimination, yet the GOP in the Congress continues to stand in the way of amending the existing laws for gays and lesbians. Would you veto bills that offer the same workplace protections for gays and lesbians that other groups have received in the past?" (Instead, we get endless questions about the Second Amendment ...)

Ditto for hate-crimes legislation.

MAKE UP YOUR OWN

There are plenty of others out there.

Here's one: "Senator McCain, you've indicated that we need to be in Iraq, whatever the cost to the U.S. taxpayer, as long as is required. Does that mean you and Joe Lieberman will lead a bi-partisan effort in the Senate to prevent anything that looks like a premature withdrawal, on your standards, including filibuster or binding legislation?"
