Worthless analysis

OLD SAW: UNCERTAINTY IS OUR CHIEF ENEMY

(Memo to young journalists: Democratic victories are always ascribed to hope; Republican ones to rage.)

- David Brooks, looking smug

Apparently, there is evidence somewhere that a rational choice was made, even though candidates, like Angle ran from reporters, used a decoy to avoid having to explain any policy positions.

This statement, above, is like saying Prop8 was passed because, somewhere, someone had a rational argument for it, rather than the angry, misinformed, hate-filled ads that ran on the airwaves in California.

People voted against Democrats because of a 1099 filing requirement? Really, David?

The rest is so much not a recipe for "hope", despite the snark.

It's too expensive for American companies to create jobs. Seriously?

REGULATIONS ONCE AGAIN UP FOR SALE AND/OR 'CAPTURE

Reducing uncertainty is job #1? Isn't that how Wall Street and Fannie Mae got into trouble, under GOP and Mudd stewardship? All they saw were profits and no risks? Isn't history that businesses make bad choices when they aren't forced to act conservatively, because of risks, including regulatory risks (fines, penalties, etc.)? Bush-Cheney took the legal risk out of gas exploration - have you seen Gasland, yet, David? That's your vision of "GOP, hope-filled America"?

There is some serious reason why the top 2% need the tax cuts that were a mistake, now acknowledged even among many on the Right, for another two years? Without any serious reason, what's the definition of compromise, again? Why don't we call a demand to compromise with the a-reasonable by it's real name?
