Politicizing genetics

After having concluded in the last round (I thought) that it would only be prudent to wait for science, AS just cannot let it go. It's sad, not heroic or disciplined.

And if he thinks that Jeremiah Wright would somehow be contradicted or confounded by the discussion, AS must have imbibed too much Krauthammer.

It wasn't too long ago, for instance, that I saw a panel encouraging Iraqis (and "Islamic countries") to stop using American and English centric models for higher education.

While I don't have the whole thing in front of me (it was a long talk), most of what Dr. Wright was saying was that people ought not to confuse low intelligence with different modes of apprehension. I doubt any serious cognitive expert would disagree.

If anything, AS was just recently citing seemingly dis-confirming evidence from the neural crowd that brain development ... also depends on environment in complex ways (as best I remember, the quote, from Brooks, was that good brain development needs love).
