Truly, the way to avoid "emboldening terrorists" is to keep the GOP far away, to follow the rule of law, among other ideas consonant with smart counter-terrorism and smart counter-insurgency.
p.s. tucked in the subtext to McCain's speech: we now have American soldiers dying in Iraq to secure Israel's security interest in the mid-east ...
