AS notes Quinnipiac shows "bitter" didn't get traction.
What does this tell you about those tied to their cable-news manufacturing channels?
How many millions of words were written over this, by anxiety-induced "critics" and "strategists"?
Fairly concluded, Washington, its punditocracy, and those mostly into "the game" of the race are out of touch. That includes media outlets who find it easier to do he-said, she-said and ask, "What's your response?", than to get substantive issues covered.
WHAT WAS LOST
Still, I have no information about how each candidate intends to use the CIA (is it still "gloves off" time, or are some of the Bush-era EO's still operative?). Will the new CIC require that the CIA tape all its interrogations? Will a new President pardon the last Administration or seek penalties? Why are we building a bigger Army, if we are "winning" the war(s)?
The interesting forum on faith and politics got little coverage and sparked little debate, although this is where the heart of many Americans is centered.
TURN IT OFF!
About a week and a half ago, it was plain that the major new organizations were going to follow FOX's lead to make the remainder of the race into a question of "What can we get Hillary to say about Obama?"
I turned them all off, for the most part.
Everytime Wolf Blitzer started in about "bitter" this weekend? Flipped the channel. Every Sullivanesque rant? Skated over it.
Si se puede!
