Fancy title - a guy can dream, right?
HERE BE GIANTS
Exxon-Mobile reported today that 2007 brought in an astounding $56 billion dollars in operating cash flow, $13 billion in the final quarter alone.
For those not familiar with the details, these are massive numbers. Consider, for perspective, the rogue trader loss over at France's mainline bank, SocGen, who are so weakened by it that they might have to sell themselves.
Exxon could have paid for that whole mess, $7.2 billion, right out of its operating cash flow for *the quarter*, not even the full year! Chump change.
For another perspective, Obama's entire, fully-loaded "Energy Manhattan Project", runs to $150 Billion, I believe.
