The State of the Rhetoric of State

At Heritage, the groove is worn for George "The Decider". Whether he sprints or walks to 'the end' (apologies to Mel Brooks?), he's unable to learn:

And so today I've come to talk to you about the war on terror, ...

In 2004, Bush himself admitted, "We actually misnamed the war on terror, ..." (via ThinkProgress). Some in the military have even stopped using "The Long War" (the twilight ghost of JFK, anyone? But does anyone have much appetite for another I-told-you-so? ...)

Condi Rice, second worst Secretary of State in living memory:

A poll of the American Foreign Service Association found that only 12% of its members felt Condi Rice was fighting for their interests.
