EDWARDS EMERGES AS A SPOILER
Perhaps she ought to replace "voters, reward my 35 years" with "change is a question of competence - and I'm going to be consistent (a value against Republican onslaught) and not get hoodwinked (the skill of an accomplished politician), because we all know that it's hard to get the plain truth, after you get the office", etc.
Waving his hand, once again, at Hillary, and trying to paint her as part of a status quo that rises up to oppose change?
Seriously?
Besides, she's to the left of him! Good grief.
"COMPETENCE AND COMMAND", NOT "35 YEARS"
It's no wonder Hillary got peeved.
I don't like the way she replied - I'm not eloquent after a long day of talk-talk-talk; but I'd have gotten annoyed at Edward's inferences, too.
Besides, after watching Hillary's Merrimack High School meeting, she's THE one, of the top three, with the command of the issues.
Seriously, it takes a lot of wonk to be able to hold forth in front of an audience with competence on issues as far ranging as foster care (in the detail she gives), to education (where she has direct experience), to weatherizing homes, to the current economic concerns, to Pakistan. There is no amount of 'Hope' that can substitute, for that.
Perhaps she ought to replace her tacit appeal, "Voters, reward my 35 years", with "change is a question of competence - and I'm going to be consistent (a value against Republican onslaught) and not get hoodwinked (the skill of an accomplished politician), because we all know that it's hard to get the plain truth, after you get the office", etc.
