The problem with the attack on moveon.org is that it is completely hollow until
(a) the GOP boosters apologize for their own behavior
(b) pledge to cease-and-desist themselves
Because the notion that the GOP are better or best at defending the military is and should be dead for at least a generation, which is a more important electoral point in the long run, perhaps, than dissing your base.

Which elected official less credible as defender of military honor? | |
Richard Cheney, VP Failed to comply with Executive Order AND made excuses rather than comply; Wanted for not keeping appropriate official records; Alleged to have defrauded the USA by making unsubstantiated statements about progress and knowingly omitting considerations about WMD - politicians may not be impeached for lying to the people who elected them, but it is still conduct unbecoming. | George W. Bush, President Dereliction of Duty - committed troops to a potential quagmire without a serious and complete advance plan for stabilization or sufficient resources; Suspected of getting the military complicit in various acts of torture; Alarmingly sweeping assertions of "privilege" in matters related to the investigation of mis-administration of Justice. |
