In his Atlantic cover story, AS acknowledged that Barack Obama's speeches have an alarmingly uneven quality to them. Sometimes they are soaring and sometimes they are ... halting.
I'm starting to think it is because these key speeches are quite rehearsed and that the Senator is more "show" than we are estimating.
I'm not sure it matters that much, since he's not a puppet, clearly.
But if true, it suggests that there is more script going on than AS has acknowledged, even while criticizing Clinton and Romney for that sort of stuff.
