President George Bush just welcomed HRH, Queen Elizabeth-II, by affirming from the podium that she was a "good person", as if he were endorsing her - as if ... *eyes roll*
I've just gotten soooo weary of these supposed people of faith whose politics divides the world into "good people" that "we" know and surround ourselves with and for whom we will forgive even gross incompetence, for whom "we" will reward blind loyalty, and the "bad people".
While I was pondering that horrible "leap of faith", AS was quoting:
I'll be so happy if and when Government isn't about the Community of the Faithful, of "good people"; but really comprised of those who want to serve all the people.

Bush has surrounded himself in the White House with fellow Christians. His four most influential advisers - Rove, Gerson, Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice - share his faith.
