Memories of Cape Cod

AS is waxing on about P-town like a groom-to-be. I'm not sure I'd like to spend a whole summer in P-town, but this is something I'd do in a heartbeat.

Meanwhile, fond memories of Cape Cod include ... fiddler crabs. These ridiculous looking little guys can be found at the edges of the tall grasses in the tidal basins.

Striking a menacing pose ... harmless little guy tries to look fierce.
They will brandish their little "swords" at you, in total defiance of being so small (see pic!), although they are quite harmless. They pop in and out of their little holes, en masse, sometimes. You can find groups of hundreds of them. If you wait patiently, they will all come out, and then you can wave your hand. They have good eyesight. You can get them to move back and forth as a group, in response, sort-of dance like.
