GOP Walkout Emboldens Enemies, Prolongs Iraq War, Is Unpatriotic

Let's see if we've learned how to do it from Roger Ailes, GOP, et. al.

Walkout, it's the "manly" thing to do: On Friday, outvoted and frustrated because they can no longer continue their Contract on America, willing to cause millions of hard-working immigrants to provide benefits to the U.S. economy but unwilling to provide anything but a bilious and vile politics-of-dismissal and hatred toward them that will no doubt eventually raise costly hate-crime rates, the faux law-and-order GOP leaders decided to walk out at the end of the week.

In doing so, the GOP continued to prolong the war in Iraq, by providing political cover to the Sunni Block, who walked out on their government this week too. Said one Sunni leader to himself, on the condition of anonymity, "Bush cannot criticize us, now, when his own party has weekly tantrums and undignified shouting fits. His own Senate members boycott important committee meetings. Who are they to tell us how to act? Let him send his Generals - how can you eat when you kick the food away?"

The GOP reps need to get back to doing what the American people want, which is voting to change direction in Iraq and moving legislation forward instead of obstructing it.

Taking a page from King George "The Decider", the Democratic leadership should simply tell them so - it would appear that they may only respond to the kinds of medicine they dish out.

oh, and a propos of all that, this week in punch-drunk GOP-history:

Congressman Brags About Sabotaged Minimum Wage Bill: ‘You Have Seen Us Really Outfox You’, July 31, 2006

At 2 a.m. on Saturday morning, the House of Representatives passed a bill that links a $2 increase in the minimum wage to a dramatic cut of the estate tax for millionaires.

Rep. Zach Wamp (R-TN) went on the House floor to brag about this ploy, .. Wamp said to his opponents, “I know why you’re so mad and why you say things you don’t really mean. It’s because you have seen us really outfox you on this issue tonight.” Watch it
