The Return of Triangulation Politics - Obama Slams Gays, Again

The hole gets deeper.

Through the haze of activity, I spy a ... sellout:

Barack Obama's tapped Tim Kaine to run the Democratic National Committee, which is sorta good and sorta bad for the gay community as Kaine was the only candidate who responded to the Washington Blade's 2005 request for Virginia Governor's candidates to answer questions about gay issues (and said all sorts of nice things),but then once Governor, he signed the Marshall-Newman Amendment, which defines marriage in Virginia as being between a man and a woman, even though he had previously opposed it.

Update: Based on a quick-scan, Kaine has no bona-fides with the Evangelicals, so ... well, another layer of the onion peeled back, that's all. Harvard law ... zzzz.

Update2: humm....pays to fact-check the folks at Queerty? My lazy-eyes should have noticed that the Marshall-Newman Amendment may not have required a signature to come into force, having been a VA ballot initiative to change the VA constitution...
