Texass Group: 'Stampede the Immigrants'

I tuned to CNN tonight for my daily dose of immigration ... lies, distortion, stultification, and hatred.

I wasn't disappointed.

They had on a guy from a group who basically wants to stampede illegal immigrants (all or most of 10 million people or so) out of the country. AND ... AND ... sell it to "us" with a two bit economic analysis that it will raise wages. (As if output couldn't drop and prices wouldn't rise, too, you know). Bonkers.

CNN were giving airtime (program was "Out in the Open", as best I recall) to some rabid group down in Texas, the leader of whom actually used the word "panic" in reference to those who should be concerned about the US's new strongarm, as those among us stoke fires that will be hard to put out. This is what "we" did in the 1940s and 1950s, frames the historical analysis used to make the case.

As far as today, perhaps this prescription is not too far off from what is going on, if you take together the plans that Arizona has for its illegal population and the recent ICE raids.

These two images, put up by Immigration Orange, seem to capture the dangerous and weirdly inspired dichotomy that the GOP have whipped up in the Nation:

The White House

The Bedford Raids
