What does that mean? Why would anyone wish that someone else was anything but who they are? Maybe it is just an offhand comment, but still ...
"Gayness" or "Lesbianism" is not a reflection of a person's moral character or fitness.
I just worry when I read such things that AS, had he not been gay, might have turned out so much differently in his political philosophy and might even have been a quite talented and vocal opponent of gay rights. Je despair.
