This reminds me of a Nixon story that shows up in one of his video biographies, as I recall. Someone either said something critical of him or was once loyal but worked against him in the primaries or some-such. Nixon remembered and, when he showed up at the White House for an event or something, it was made clear - in that way that only Nixon could have completely articulated, ahem - that he was never, ever to be invited back.
