The staff in the Office of the Speaker seem to be failing in protecting their leader from the narrow, ill-begotten judgments of her prominent colleagues in the House.
No sooner had Pelosi endorsed the diminutive version of ENDA (pressed by Congressman Frank), than she has green lighted a vote on another poorly timed and conceived Bill on the Armenian genocide, to placate her colleague from California, Tom Lantos, presumably.
With 30,000 Turkish troops on the border and a clear and present danger of unwanted tension between Iraq and Turkey, the Bill's timing is freakish.
This is apparently of greater National Interest than pushing for a censure vote on the lies that Bush told during Petraeus week about which troops were coming home by Christmas and why.
