Given the family values hypocrisy, the only way this story could get more twisted is if it turns out that his "hired help" was the age of an intern or a congressional page. (Although a propriety defense in leopard print is right up there ...).

Why shouldn't we put the GOP to their own standards? If the GOP button-ups can drop Jack Ryan like a stone, who never paid for anything and never did anything illegal, why can't we say, "Hey, Vitter, resign."

You know it's not coming. Senator Kyl doesn't know if money-for-sex is illegal. And who can blame him?

Afterall, it's the party of Abramoff and Delay and Norquist - it's all for sale, yes, until they are caught? Besides, only Brownback is left to echo Santorum and remind everyone that - let's see if we can paraphrase this right - if prostitution is allowed, then surely we must be looking at man-dog sex, next, right?
