Potter Mania

I appear to be the only one in America the World that was unimpressed with Order of the Phoenix, as it pulls in $330 million since release worldwide.

I thought it was 90% foreboding, and not even interesting foreboding. The blocking puts Harry jarringly apart from his former friends, to emphasize his isolation, probably, but it just seemed an odd departure from the prior story lines. The bits of the students teaching themselves were ... somehow uninteresting, if not just boring and odd, as Harry prances around the room expounding in ways that looked uncomfortable and either too self-conscious or too self-effacing for a band who think their endeavor a matter of life and death (I would have thought anyone in similar circumstance to be too earnest and overbearing, to start, before backing off a bit, perhaps, after pushing people too hard or too fast).

The directing was terrible, with loads of boringly framed shots of students going to-and-fro. There was precious little wit in the script.
