- $2.6 billion (up $597 million) for Operation Enduring Freedom and operation Iraqi Freedom to meet the needs of over 439,000 Veterans
The ultimate number of vets from these campaigns will be a lot more than 439,000.
VA reports that an additional 500,000 people are coming onto revised eligibility for VA health benefits.
None of those includes families of gay and lesbian service members, that I know.
