I suggest that Senator Reid come out and say that, if the 50% of the GOP do not agree to vote alongside a token amount, say $10 billion for three companies to drawdown as needed, relatively unrestricted, that the Democrats will follow the GOP into letting the U.S. auto industry fail, if it must, before Obama becomes President.Certainly, to "pull a Shelby" will become a national punchline.
Call their bluff, in other words.
