Dems lacking National Security "Vision" To Replace GOP Failure

When a stupid poison pill provision like "Get Osama" can kill a Bill, it's a sad day.

As such, the amendment amounts to "doing anything to prevent the unknown".

Sounds like terrorism (Osama bin-Laden) has the GOP right in its vice grip, with that, no?
The reason that the Nation is at an impasse on how to handle Global Terrorism, while other nations are not, is because the GOP have wasted the last seven years spinning a "GWOT"; sometimes warning of UBL then sometimes saying he is 'not relevant'; and focused on 'ticking bomb' scenarios via their media mouthpieces that soften the beaches, even, on such topics as torture.

The Dems, on the other hand, have failed to some degree to build up a momentum behind counter narrative, one about "smart counter terrorism" rather than Bush-Cheney saber rattling and sound bites.

In any case, would one vote for the Amendment as proposed?

Well, damn, the CIA's *only* evidence that UBL is alive, that I know, is the tapes he keeps sending out. As such, the amendment amounts to "doing anything to prevent the unknown".
